Wedding Favor Idea :: Colored Bon Bons

Friday, August 27th, 2010

Edible favors, especially chocolate, are always a hit. Brides have utilized everything from labeled Hershey’s Kisses and personalized M&Ms to chocolate truffle placecard holders.

You can customize the color of the foil on Hershey’s Kisses, and the color of your M&Ms, but what if you could customize the color of say…Bon Bons?

Bedazzle My Bonbons has done just that. With 24 glittering colors to choose from, and the flavors: original chocolate, extra-dark chocolate, raspberry, hazelnut, peanut butter, and mint, you’re sure to find a combination that works great for your wedding, or other pre-wedding event.

If you’re thinking you’re not so sure about these (a little too bling for you?), I ate some the other day and I promise, they’re delicious, and you don’t feel like you’re eating glitter.
If done well, they could bring a really fun element to your wedding.

James & Melissa’s Wedding by Zeno, Too!

Thursday, May 27th, 2010
Austin Wedding Planner
James + Melissa were faced with a tough wedding scenario. Since he was to be deployed in June, they had to plan their wedding in incredibly short notice.

Most couples might think that given such a timeframe, it might be hard to keep costs reasonable and nearly impossible to hire a wedding coordinator.

Yonneque with Zeno, Too! helped the couple pull all of their details together without breaking the bank.

James + Melissa used black and fuschia as their wedding colors. With Yonneque’s guidance, they commissioned beautiful fuschia rose bouquets with black feather accents, elegant table settings and a matching candy station for their favors.

Come see Zeno, Too! at next Wednesday’s Weddings Unveiled event. A few tickets remain with code FREETIX.

Farmers Market Themed Cake Balls

Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010

When they moved to San Francisco almost five years ago, Brad and April fell in love with the Bay Area. One of their favorite pastimes became making regular trips to local farmers markets.

So when the native Texans began planning their wedding, they wanted to bring together their two favorite cities – San Francisco and Austin – for their friends and family to enjoy.

Almost six years to the day after their first date, Brad and April were married during a farmers market-themed wedding at Mercury Hall. The theme was unmistakable, from the citrus-colored dresses and cowboy boots the bridesmaids wore to the bales of hay and baskets of fruit that decorated the grounds.

Instead of a traditional cake, April and Brad wanted an equally unique treat for their guests. Objects of Confection came up with a cake ball display that was, April says, “the talk of the party.”

The focus of the display was a citrus tree stand decked with real lemon leaf and dotted with three tiers of orange and lemon cake balls. More fruit surrounded the base of the tree on crisp green leaves.

Orange and lemon cake balls were dipped in colored white chocolate and adorned with hand-painted edible leaves and vines.

Italian crème and German chocolate cake balls enrobed in semisweet chocolate and drizzled with coordinating shades of white chocolate rounded out the menu.

Surrounding the tree, more cake balls were stored in crates with vintage labels customized with the bride and groom’s names and other personalized details.

Says April: “It was perfect and beyond our expectations … Thank you!!”
