You’re Invited! :: 5 Types of Wedding Invitations

Thursday, August 5th, 2010

Not only are your invitations the first impression your guests will have of your wedding, but they are also a reflection of your personal style. Bottom line is you want your guests to be excited for the event while portraying the love you guys have for each other. Turn this rather intimidating task into a fun one, by finding an invite that does all of this!

Traditional Wedding Invitations

Let’s start with what your guests expect to see when they open the envelope. These invitations are timeless and their elegance is effortlessly displayed in an age-old manner.

Destination Wedding Invitations

Tie the beautiful destination of your wedding into the invitation theme. Guests will be so excited that your wedding will double as a vacay that they’ll probably start packing their bags after one glimpse!

Just Plain Different Wedding Invitations

These are my favorite! Make a bold statement to your guests by sending them an invitation like they’ve never seen before. They’ll instantly know that your upcoming wedding is going to be unique, fun, and tailored exactly to your individual style.

Simple Wedding Invitations

I love these. Definitely the complete opposite of the adventurous ones you’ve just seen. These are for the girl that wants the classic, subtle touch. There’s not much to them, but I think that’s what makes them truly beautiful.

St. John Wedding

Thursday, May 27th, 2010

Norman Garrett of Thanks For The Memories Photography sent us these beautiful photos of Brian + Christine’s Destination Wedding in St. John.

Poor Brian! His luggage (which contained his wedding attire AND gift for Christine) didn’t arrive with the flight. Despite this setback, the happy couple still had a blissful wedding. After a quick shopping trip, of course!

Limos and taxis took the wedding party and guests to Trunk Bay, the most beautiful part of the island, for the ceremony.

From Norman:

The ceremony took place at Trunk Bay just before sunset.
We had the most incredible, breathtaking views as we watched Brian and Christine get married.
Brian’s missing luggage did not deter love. Yes, these guys are madly in love with one another….you can see it in their eyes……check out the note he wrote the day of the wedding in the sample photos.

Come see Thanks For The Memories on June 2 at Waterford House. Buy your ticket and bring a guest for free with code GUEST.
